International Visitors Internship Program
Our internship program provides college students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in their field of study and build upon educational foundations established in the classroom. Interns help us support the local infrastructure for U.S. public diplomacy efforts, and deepen relationships within the community and across the globe.
Standout interns from Global Ties San Francisco may have the opportunity to experience the Global Ties U.S. Emerging Leaders Program — a unique, nomination-only professional development program in Washington, D.C. Since the program launch in 2011, our interns have been selected for six cohorts thus far: 2015 (Otto Kienitz), 2016 (Joy Young), 2017 (Yevin Cho), 2018 (Suzanne Tsai), 2019 (Alannah Crandall), and 2022 (William Yates).
If you are interested in international diplomacy and providing critical programmatic support through community outreach, research, and representation in sessions for our visiting dignitaries, you can learn more about our internship program or apply now. If you have any questions, please contact us using the form below.
Why Get Involved?
By volunteering as a Home Hospitality host or professional resource, you help us provide impactful exchange experiences. The work we do would not be possible without our members, or the community’s financial support. We encourage you to volunteer your time and expand your world with us, or to make a financial contribution to our organization. Help us bridge cultures and find commonalities among our differences to make for a safer, more peaceful world. Global Ties San Francisco is a division of World Trade Center Northern California, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your donation may be tax-deductible.
